Yadvinder is an international leader in ecosystem ecology and global change biology, and the seminar will focus on the impact of humans on the natural world as viewed through the lens of metabolism. A group will be meeting for drinks at The Nest following the seminar (around 4pm), and all are welcome to attend. Additionally, we will be visiting our old growth forest monitoring plots in Capilano Watershed on the afternoon of August 31 and may have an extra seat available (contact sean.michaletz@ubc.ca if interested). I’m unsure if additional times to meet with Yadvinder might be available, but interested parties can contact Tahia Devisscher (tahia.devisscher@ubc.ca), who is organizing Yadvinder’s visit.
